Argo International originally began life late in 1999 as Heritage, an independent Lloyd's managing agency.

In 2001 the company began to take on its current shape. Firstly we launched our non-US professional indemnity business, with short-tail commercial property following in 2002.

2005 saw the introduction of financial institutions and personal accident lines followed by North American liability in 2006, non U.S general liability in 2007 and most recently in 2008  international property treaty.

In 2006 we listed as a public company on the London Stock Exchange AIM market.

At the start of 2008 we merged our syndicates into Syndicate 1200 to better adjust to prevailing market conditions.

In May 2008 we were delighted to become a member of the Argo Group and operate under the banner of Argo International.
